COLLEGE STATION, Texas – No. 1 seed Texas A&M took a 2-0 lead 11 minutes into the match and went on from there to defeat Houston Baptist 5-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday night at Ellis Field. A&M took a 2-0 lead six minutes later, as Monogue scored her second of the night, on a shot off a cross pass by Bianca Brinson. The Aggies wasted little time getting a lead, as Monogue scored on a cross pass from Annie Kuntz just four minutes into the action. Patty Walrath set a new career high with 14 saves.
